Food Which Can Boost Your Testosterone

Grapes- Grapes, especially red grapes are found to increase testosterone. This is because grape skin contains Resveratrol which is said to increase testosterone levels. Chinese researchers have found that eating just 500 mg of Resveratrol, which is found in 10 gm of red grapes, everyday can boost your testosterone levels.

Shrimp- Seafood like shrimp are rich in Vitamin D. In a study conducted in Germany, researchers found that increasing Vitamin D intake through diet can bring about a small but significant increase in testosterone levels. Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health also came to the same conclusion.

Avocados- Low Density Lipoprotein cholesterol of LDL cholesterol is blamed for everything from heart disease to erectile dysfunction. Did you know the eating more monounsaturated fats can decrease LDL cholesterol levels in your blood? Avocados, nuts, vegetable oil are good sources of monounsaturated fats. Monounsaturated fats are also known to improve testosterone levels, while adequate testosterone keeps LDL cholesterol levels down.

Cabbage- Some men are suffering from elevated estrogen levels. High levels of estrogen suppresses the effects of testosterone. If you want to flush this excess estrogen from your blood, eat more cabbage. This sulfurous vegetable contains a large amount amount of a compound called indole-3-carbinol. At a study conducted at the Rockefeller University, a group of men who took 500 mg of cabbage every day for a week, saw their estrogen levels drop by half, which consequently increased their testosterone levels.

Pumpkin seeds- Pumpkin seeds are a good source of zinc and zinc is said to increase testosterone levels. In one study, a group of men who received 30 mg of Zinc everyday saw their free testosterone levels increase. No one knows how zinc does this but it might have something to do with the Cells of Leydig in the testes that produce testosterone. So the next time you feel like throwing the seeds away when you carve a Jack o Lantern, please think again.
